Experience Sensory Friendly Days at the Connecticut Science Center, where a welcoming and inclusive learning environment awaits individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences. On select dates throughout the year, the dedicated staff adjusts the environment by lowering volume, dimming lights, and minimizing distractions. Extra signage helps identify potential triggers, ensuring a comfortable experience for all. Everyone is invited to be their special guests, benefiting from a sensory-friendly setting while enjoying full access to the exciting exhibits and attractions. Plus, 1:1 aides are always complimentary, making their visit seamless and enjoyable.

Sensory Friendly Playtime provides a sensory-friendly and judgement-free environment for play and learning for children with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, and/or sensory-processing disorders and their families.

Enjoy the Museum in a calmer, quieter environment without the noise, crowds, and stimulation of a typical day!

Capacity is limited to 50, preregistration is strongly encouraged.
